Frequently asked questions
1. What is your turnaround time?
I know how excited you are to see your new photos! Your full, high-resolution private gallery will be delivered via email within 2-3 weeks for regular sessions & 6-8 for weddings and elopements.
2. How do we secure our date?
Once we’ve discussed your vision, your date, and the perfect location, I will send over a personalized booking link. Through that link, you’ll be able to pay your non-refundable retainer and sign the contract—all in one place. Once those steps are complete, you are officially on the BGP calendar!
3. Do I need to know how to pose?
Easing that camera anxiety & knowing how to pose is part of my job. I will pose and prompt you through the entire session. You will never be at a shortage of help from me— just show up and have a good time, and I’ll handle the rest to make sure your gallery is a perfect representation of your story
4. Do I have to pay for extra photos?
Never! I believe in telling your whole story, which means you never have to worry about hidden costs for more images. My goal is always to deliver a gallery that is a perfect representation of your time with me. I tend to deliver more than promised, but never less—and you will never be charged for 'extra' photos. All of the best, most beautiful images from our session are always included in your session fee for you to enjoy forever.
5. What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
New England weather can be unpredictable, but don't worry—I’m in this with you. If the conditions aren't right for your vision, we will work together to find a new date within the following few weeks that works for everyone.
6. How do I prepare for my session with you?
Once you’re officially on my books, I’ll send over my styling guide to help you coordinate outfits that feel like 'you' and fit the location you choose.
I am always happy to help with styling, so feel free to reach out with any questions or send over your Pinterest boards so I can see the vision you’re dreaming of. The best way to prepare is simply to show up ready to be yourself; I’ll handle the rest to ensure every moment is a perfect representation of your story!
7. Do you deliver RAW photos?
I do not ever provide RAW or unedited files. Part of the reason you are hiring me is for my specific artistic vision, and a huge part of my job is to fully hand-edit every single photo you receive. My editing process is where my 'true-to-color' and crisp style really comes to life. Delivering a RAW file would be like a baker giving you a bag of flour and an egg instead of a finished cake—the magic is in the final result! I take great pride in delivering polished & complete galleries.
8. Do you travel?
A resounding YES! Traveling for love is my dream, and I can’t wait to see where your story takes me. I offer travel for weddings and elopements throughout New England and beyond. For all sessions, the first 60 miles of travel (each way) are included in my fee. For locations further than that, a travel fee of $0.85 per mile each way will apply. Whether it’s a coastal town, a mountain peak, or a quiet spot across state lines, I’m ready to pack my bags and document your journey!
9. Where should I have my session?
I work at all types of locations—whether you’re dreaming of a beach sunset, a walk through the quiet woods, a cozy in-home session, or even wandering through local markets and fun, spontaneous spots. I also have a list of favorite natural light studios for that clean, timeless look.
